Photographing the West
Переглядів 5712 років тому
The American West has long fascinated and inspired artists. This program will examine the history of this fascination from the earliest forms of supposedly god-given "manifest destiny" of territorial expansion, to the obsession in the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries of the quintessentially American ritual of the road trip.

Confusion
Переглядів 4812 років тому
We had an hour in class to make a short film about a word. Our word was confusion.
This truly is one of the best Ice Bucket Challenge videos I've seen.
Weber fucking State did this interview?! That's nuts.
0:40 i have never seen a person's eyebrows raise so high
Best Ice Bucket Challenge yet.
Because of them I am happy to be from Grand Rapids.
sagnasty
he is so adorable XD
I know! :)
mannequins everywhere
The best song since: 1980; first use of synthesizer.
The first time I heard them I thought the same thing. It's cool though.
Same here, at first I didn't like them that much, but then I started listening to them more and more, and now I just fucking love them.
hi jordan haha
I'm new to the fanbase and I can already tell from listening to some of his songs he seems like the type of person I would just run up to and hug and he'd be okay with that. :)
Thanks Aaron! Glad you liked it. We were super pumped to perform it.
Saw them live in Newcastle and they were incredible!
good shit
I could listen to him talk for hours
sweet!
They are from Provo, UT.
This is really good! Where are you guys from?
Opening song?
He's perfect.
Jordan is an extremely talented young man. La Dispute pour their heart and soul into their songwriting and put out al lot of emotion into their singing. Please don't stop making inspiring songs I am a huge fan and appreciate all your work <3
simply. admiration
Jordan you inspire man!
I definitely appreciated his answer to the last question. Often I hear people saying how (in general) there is just no good music today, which I full disagree with. It's not that there isn't any good music, it is there, I promise. You just have to search a little more. If you're looking at the radio or top 40, no you probably won't find the 'good' music (it's also subjective). The music is always there. There are kids making music and people appreciating it. It hasn't gone anywhere.
i envy you *^*
I fucking love this guy. Fucking love the band. Fucking love everything about them. Seldom do you see an interview with band members where their answers are intelligent and thought out. Jordan is one of the few people I idolize.
lol
It's hard to describe what i thought but your description fits better than what i have made up.
His music is unbelievebly beautiful. I was with you the first tiem I heard them, I thought there was no point. The instrumentation, the urgency in his voice, the angst, the pain...the music and the lyrics...its so perfect, I can't even beginto describe the feeling. But, I deffinately know where your coming from. I am sorry for ya, but its not for everyone.
The white dot on the wall on the left side is in almost the same spot in both camera angles, so I thought it was something on my screen. Needless to say, it wasn't on my screen.
His voice.....after listening to the Here Hear albums so much I feel like every time he talks he's doing poetry.
Actually, no. His music is fucking great. Every single song he has created has meaning and is infuential. If you don't like his music don't even bother commenting on it.
That's a real shame. He seems like such a chill dude but his music is TERRIBLE.
You,Jordan,yes you.. are amazing.
Everything he says is so poetic
"i dont think it [hardcore] ever left. i dont think it ever will. it just changes shapes"
somewhere at the bottom... is still the best album musically. Here, Hear is perfect also :3
An addiction to this band is not something to fear, but something to embrace.
so... that couch..
Maybe they're not part of the species that can understand the music genus.
Agreed
really the best thing?!.. well I'm glad for you :P haha
You can tell how fucking smart this guy is
Jordan must've been all of his English teacher's favorite student.
I notice. Mostly like A to B Life mwY.
wildlife sounds A LOT like mewithoutYou but I am the only one who seems to be noticing this
Such a great bull horn.
I met him one night when i went to see them live. he was standing right there by the merch table and everyone was just acting normally, and i wanted to yell 'don't you people know you have a fucking music genus standing here in the room with you??'
Am I the only one who thinks he sounds like Jesse Eisenberg? Especially in the Here, Hears?
